What Kenko is
Kenko is a Mac app that lives in your MacBook's notch, watches your Claude Code and Codex sessions, and lets you approve commands and answer questions from there. It is made by Carlos Lastres ("we", "us").
Your license
- Kenko is sold for a one time payment of USD 0.99. The payment buys a license for your personal use on the Macs you own. There is no subscription and no trial: the app does nothing until it is unlocked with your key.
- Please keep your key to yourself. Don't share, publish or resell it.
- If Kenko isn't for you, write to carlos@intdesign.jp within 14 days of buying it and we will refund you.
Approvals
- Approving a command or answering a question from Kenko works exactly as if you had done it in the terminal. You are responsible for what you approve, including approvals sent in a hurry and rules you save with Always.
- We do not review, filter or judge what an agent is asking to do. Kenko shows you the request and carries your answer back.
Your settings
Connecting edits your Claude Code and Codex settings files after saving a backup of each. Disconnecting removes what Kenko added.
Updates and warranty
Kenko is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. Updates are offered at our discretion and install through the app.
Her artwork
Kenko is Carlos Lastres's character. The app and her artwork may not be copied or redistributed.
Who can use it
Kenko is a tool for developers. You must be at least 16 to use it. If the law where you live sets a higher age for agreeing to terms like these, you must meet that age or have a parent or guardian agree for you.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of Kenko, including actions taken by AI agents and actions you approve through it.
Changes
We may update these terms; the current version always lives at this address. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
